If you need to prevent an extension from making or receiving calls, please reset the extension's credentials.
IMPORTANT: If you have a central office location, resetting an extension can cause a service outage. Please reach out to our support team via the information here to ensure your office IP is whitelisted before resetting any extensions: How to Get Support for CloudPhone.ONE
Please follow the steps below to reset an extension's credentials:
- Log into the CloudPhone.ONE admin portal.
- Navigate to Configuration > Extensions.
- Click the name or extension number of the extension you wish to reset.
- In the Information section at the top of the page, find the Password field, and click the Generate button to the right of it.
- Scroll down and locate the Find me/Follow me Configuration section. If Active if checked is enabled, uncheck it. If the person had mobile forwarding enabled, unchecking the box will prevent calls from forwarding.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the Save button.
At this point, any desk phones and softphones configured for the newly reset extension will not be able to make or receive calls. If mobile forwarding was enabled, calls will no longer be forwarded to mobile.
